I received Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth in Mocha 360 from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. They also included Master Prime primer and base.
I will say that I’m not a huge makeup wearer and I actually have purchased this before to test it out and make my own cushion. It was certainly a go-to product before Fenty came on the market.
Before: I did my usual skincare routine and applied primer. The primer is incredible and smooth honestly feels like a nice setting moisturizer and will be a great alternative to my Etude House primer.
Foundation: because I’d already tried and troubleshot this product, I knew what I received was way too dark for me and I was going to look pretty rough. In the interest of honesty I compiled this review with the products I received but adjusted with my lighter color 355 Coconut.
It goes on really easily and honestly would use this in a pinch and in the correct color. I put some on my hand and then use a foundation brush to apply.
Here is a comparison of the two shades. In reality I am probably somewhere between the two.
Feel: it might be a little heavy for people who like the no makeup makeup look but really blended well with my skin once I added the lighter color. I think this is a solid option, non ashy and rich for someone looking for a budget friendly foundation. My only issue aside from the wrong color is I feel it might be a touch too oily looking rather than dewy.
After I balanced everything out with 355 Coconut there was a major improvement. I’m once again not convinced that it helped because I felt like it now looks too thick and not dewy. Overall, I feel like this product for the price is something I would use before going to a Sephora brand or other department store brand but it wouldnt convert me to a daily makeup wearer by any means.
